Internet Marketing and Domestic Intolerance

Focus
It's fairly safe to assume that most people strive for a productive happy life. Those with masochistic tendencies might be an exception.
Internet marketers, in general, are industrious individuals who are keenly focused on whatever they are currently doing. However although this is an admirable quality in itself, at times it can have negative side effects.

The Nature of Internet Marketing
All projects can be thought of as complicated machines which are made up of many parts and cogs which when synchronised facilitate the machine's useful capabilities. The Internet Marketer building a project will go about the business along repetitive lines.
Although being focused on a particular part of a project, the experienced marketer will always have a clear mental vision of how the current work will fit into the machine which is being constructed.
Any interruption to a marketer's focus could be catastrophic!

Interruptions
I'm surprised that my nearest and dearest don't get more upset than they do on coming into my office when I am engrossed in trying to solve a marketing problem.
I am guilty of not recognising their presence and certainly not listening to anything that is said. In my defence I can only say that were I to lose my focus it could mean hours of lost work.
Many are the times that I've found a cold cup of tea – which I can't remember asking for in the first place – on the desk. An unloved, dried up cheese and pickle sandwich was once discovered the next day perched on top of a speaker cabinet!
So what are the answers that might be relationship savers?

Strike a Balance
In the interest of domestic harmony, a balance has to be struck which encourages all parties to take an objective rather than a subjective point of view. In other words each has to have a reasonable understanding of the other's computing aims.
It is important to recognise that people who use computers fall into 2 main categories:-

  • Those who want to contact others, find out about things or be entertained etc. These are activities which require little or no technical knowledge other than to navigate well known software applications.
  • Those who want to make money by selling their own or other marketers' products/services. This category will have to be familiar – for obvious reasons –  with most of the requirments of the first category.

Lack of Computer Literacy
Even in these days when the internet is becoming virtually a 'must have' item in most households, there are still those who are very intolerant of anything relating to computers. This smacks of dogmatism and sheer short-sightedness.
Since such things as paper bills for example are rapidly becoming things of the past, anyone who is not computer literate will be dependent on someone who is.
In the interests of a non-confrontational shared existence where should responsibility lay?

Taking the Lead
Marketers must always be prepared to talk to and educate others in the concepts of what is trying to be achieved. What would certainly be helpful for a non computer literate person is to know a starting point which could quickly progress to money making capabilities.
It's a fairly common scenario that if in a partnership one is making money for the family, this prime mover will be held in awe by the other.
This is the strength of the internet that it could eventually lead to an independent wealth producing situation and where better to start than Affiliate Marketing.
If both members of a domestic partnership are involved in online marketing it can be assumed that intolerance will more than likely be avoided.

Affiliate Marketing
This is a logical starting point because a newbie doesn't have to immediately produce and market a unique product.
To do it right and be successful has to be learnt from existing marketers which might not necessarily be the existing marketer in a domestic partnership.
On a personal level, I found a coach/mentor who teaches the skills of Affiliate Marketing by a series of FREE VIDEOS and anyone who wants to make a main or secondary income from this business should start today by clicking on the link below. Don't delay ...take action!
